Pimpri Chinchwad: In anticipation of New Year's Eve celebrations, the Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police has declared heightened vigilance at 30 strategic locations across the city on the night of December 31, 2023 (Sunday). The move aims to ensure the safety of citizens amid the revelry that often accompanies the transition to the new year.

Why has Pimpri Chinchwad police implemented stringent measures? 

Concerns over citizens endangering lives by driving under the influence of alcohol during New Year celebrations have prompted the Traffic Police to implement stringent measures. 

It is a common trend for individuals to attend parties and festivities till midnight, increasing the risk of accidents and road mishaps.

Strict blockades at 30 designated points in Pimpri-Chinchwad 

To counteract these potential hazards, the Pimpri-Chinchwad police have outlined a comprehensive plan for strict blockades at 30 designated points. At each checkpoint, drivers will undergo thorough interrogation, and breath samples will be tested using breathalyzer machines.

Any individual found driving under the influence of alcohol will face legal consequences, including the impoundment of their vehicle.

The Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police emphatically urges citizens not to drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol and encourages responsible celebration.
