New Delhi: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was admitted to AIIMS Delhi in the early hours of Sunday after complaining of uneasiness and chest pain. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and inquired about his health, praying for his speedy recovery.
"Went to AIIMS and enquired about the health of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. I pray for his good health and speedy recovery," PM Modi tweeted.
Vice President Rushed to AIIMS After Chest Pain
The 73-year-old Vice President was taken to AIIMS around 2 a.m. due to heart-related issues. He was admitted to the Critical Care Unit (CCU) under Dr. Rajiv Narang, Head of the Cardiology Department.
AIIMS sources confirmed that his condition is stable following the successful implantation of a stent, and doctors are closely monitoring his health.

Union Health Minister JP Nadda Also Visited AIIMS
Shortly after Dhankhar’s admission, Union Health Minister and BJP President J.P. Nadda visited AIIMS to check on his condition.

The incident occurred just days after his official visit to Mumbai, where he attended the annual day function of K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce as the chief guest.
Not the First Health Scare for Dhankhar
In 2021, Jagdeep Dhankhar was also admitted to AIIMS Delhi after testing positive for malaria. Doctors are keeping a close watch on his health condition and will provide further updates.
