Ayodhya: With the countdown to the historic Ram Mandir Inauguration in Ayodhya underway, RJD MLA Ajay Yadav has ignited a storm of controversy with his recent inflammatory remarks. During an event, Yadav was quoted asserting that the BJP plans to "organize a bomb blast" on January 22, 2024, the day slated for the consecration of the Ramalala idol.
Videos circulating on social media capture the MLA alleging that the BJP intends to orchestrate a bomb blast targeting all Ram devotees attending the grand event. Shockingly, Yadav goes on to claim that the BJP would use this incident to incite religious tensions, subsequently blaming Pakistan, its terrorists, and Muslims.
Ajay Yadav, an MLA under the RJD government in Bihar, represents the Atari assembly. These controversial statements were made during a meeting with his supporters in his constituency.
In another video, the MLA takes aim at the BJP, asserting that the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, for which the inauguration is eagerly anticipated, was constructed using the income tax contributions of the public. These remarks have further intensified the political heat surrounding the impending event.
Not the first instance of leaders making contentious remarks
This isn't the first instance of leaders from Bihar making contentious statements in the lead-up to the Ram Mandir Inauguration.
JDU MP Kaushalendra Kumar previously remarked that Lord Ram belongs to everyone, not just the BJP.
Uttar Pradesh, All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) President and Lok Sabha MP Badruddin Ajmal too sparked controversy after a call for Muslims to stay home from January 20 to 25. Ajmal labelled the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as the 'biggest enemy' of the Muslim community.
Consecration of Ramlala idol
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to participate as the Chief Host during the January 22 event, marking a significant moment in the long-awaited consecration of the Ramlala idol.
