Rain Lashes Parts of Mumbai, IMD Predicts Heavy Showers in Several States From Friday

Mumbai: Light to moderate rains lashed parts of Mumbai on Thursday, bringing the mercury down. The temperature in Mumbai settled at 27.44 °C at around 7 am. The minimum temperature is likely to settle around 25.99 °C while the maximum temperature will hover around 27.72 °C.
The relative humidity is 84% and the wind speed is 84 km/h. Visuals have emerged from parts of city wherein showers can be seen lashing the city, disrupting traffic in several areas.
Moreover, some regions in northeastern and eastern India are also likely to experience heavy rainfall on Thursday.
In its latest bulletin, the weather department has said that heavy rainfall is expected in Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next two days. Meanwhile, an orange alert has been sounded for both the states. The IMD has predicted that there will be heavy rainfall in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, and eastern Madhya Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in several parts of the country from September 6 to September 10.
The states which may experience heavy downpour on September 6 include Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Karnataka among others.
