PM Modi will be welcomed by various groups of artistes from across the country as he arrives here Saturday to inaugurate the redeveloped Ayodhya railway station and a new airport before the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple on January 22.
In a statement, CM Yogi Adityanath's office said more than 1,400 performers will present folk art and cultural programmes in a total of 40 stages set up along the route from the airport to the railway station, Ram Path.
According to the statement, Vaibhav Mishra from Ayodhya will welcome the prime minister on the land of Ramlala by blowing conches while Mohit Mishra from Kashi will beat a Damru.
Many artistes will present art forms of Awadhi and Vantangiya. While Ragini Mitra of Noida and Brajesh Pandey of Sultanpur will present Awadhi folk dance, Sahaj Singh Shekhawat of Gorakhpur will perform Vantangiya dance.
PM Modi will inaugurate the Ayodhya railway station around 11.15 am and the newly constructed Ayodhya airport around 12.15 pm. He will also participate in a public event where several development projects worth more than Rs 15,700 crore will be inaugurated.

Civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday said December 30 will be a historic day for the country with the inauguration of the Ayodhya airport, which will be expanded hugely in the second phase by augmenting overall area and increasing the runway length.
The Ayodhya airport, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, is built over an area of 6,500 square metres.
In an interview to PTI, Scindia said the connectivity from the Ayodhya airport will only grow in the days to come.
"There is tremendous potential with civil aviation across the country providing capability and especially for Ayodhya which is religiously and spiritually entwined in our hearts," he said.
According to him, the second phase of the airport project will be hugely expansive going from the 6,500 square metres facility to 50,000 square metres. "We are expanding the runway to 3,750 metres which is good enough for international flights," he added.
The first phase of the Ayodhya airport has been developed at a cost of more than Rs 1,450 crore. The airport's terminal building has an area of 6,500 square metres and can serve around 10 lakh passengers annually.
"Tomorrow is going to be a historic day not only for civil aviation, not only for the city of Ayodhya, not only for Uttar Pradesh, not only for India but all of those who believe in the vibrancy and the commitment from our souls towards Hinduism when the Ayodhya airport will be inaugurated by the prime minister," Scindia said.

Ahead of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the sale of liquor has been banned on the Panchkosi Parikrama Marg of the temple town, Uttar Pradesh Minister Nitin Agarwal said.
The "pran pratishtha", or the consecration ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol, will take part on January 22 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in it.
"Ayodhya is a major pilgrimage place where people from the entire country and the world arrive to have a glimpse of Ram Lalla. Under the guidance of Chief Minister (Yogi Adityanath), it was decided to ban the sale of liquor on Ayodhya's Panchkosi Parikrama Marg," said Agarwal, the minister of state (independent charge) for Excise and Prohibition.
"A prohibition has been declared there. All wine shops there have been removed and nobody will (be allowed to) open liquor shops there," he said on Thursday.
According to Mahant Raju Das of the Hanumangarhi temple, Panchkosi Parikrama takes place on the 'ekadashi' after Diwali. Devotees undertaking the parikrama cover a distance of around 50 kilometres.

The newly designed Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station will have state-of-the-art facilities. Apart from the regular facilities like waiting halls, retiring rooms, cloakrooms, and a food plaza, the railway station will have an Infant Care Room and a Sick Room with first aid. It will have escalators, and toilets for the differently abled.
An information centre and a passenger facilities desk will be there on the concourse at the railway station. The first floor of the concourse, once complete, will cover 7,200 square metres.
There will be fire exits on all floors.
