'I'll Rip Their Skin, Drag Them on Roads': Revanth Reddy Warns YouTubers Who Post Abusive Content

New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy sparked outrage on Saturday after threatening to strip and parade YouTubers who, he claimed, are "posing as journalists" and spread derogatory and abusive content against public representative. 

Reddy issued a fiery warning against YouTubers after derogatory posts about him and his family surfaced online.

During the discussion on the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address, Reddy lashed out at YouTubers, accusing them of misusing journalism to run personal agendas. He said, “Who is a journalist? Is it those who have an ID card and a license to practice journalism, or just anyone who picks up a mic and asks whatever they want?” 

The Chief Minister did not hold back as he expressed his anger over online abuse directed at political figures and their families.

“My blood is boiling. What language are they using? They abuse our families. Are they human? Don’t they have families?” Reddy said.

He went further, issuing a strong warning, he said “I am the Chief Minister of this state. I will strip them and drag them on the roads.”

Reddy also pushed for legal measures to regulate online content and curb malicious campaigns. He suggested introducing a law that defines who qualifies as a journalist and implements stricter rules against online critics. 

"When someone abuses your family, you react on Twitter and demand their arrest. When my family is targeted, I feel the same pain," he said, defending his stance.
