Thane Horror: Mother-Son Duo Tortured, Killed 5-Year-Old Girl; Arrested

Thane: In a shocking case of child abuse, police on Monday arrested a 46-year-old woman and her son for allegedly beating and branding a five-year-old girl, which resulted in her tragic death. The accused were close relatives of the victim, who had been placed in their care by her father for education, according to the Mira Bhayandar Vasai Virar Police.

Girl’s Head Smashed Against Wall

According to police officials, the horrific assault took place in the Naya Nagar area of Thane. 

The accused allegedly banged the girl’s head against a wall and burned her with a hot object, causing severe injuries. 

The exact reason behind the brutal attack is still under investigation.

Child Succumbed to Injuries at KEM Hospital

Following the attack, the injured child was first taken to a local hospital, but due to the severity of her condition, she was later shifted to KEM Hospital in Mumbai.

Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries on Monday, police confirmed.

Mother-Son Duo Arrested for Murder

Police arrested both the woman and her son on charges of murder, and a court remanded them to police custody until March 26.

Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to uncover the motive behind the gruesome crime, as the case has sparked widespread outrage in the community.
