In a significant move towards digitization, Gurugram residents can now conveniently pay their traffic challans using UPI (Unified Payments Interface) starting December 28, announced the Gurugram police. The initiative aims to streamline and modernize the payment process, aligning with the growing trend of digital transactions in the city. 

DCP Traffic, Virender Vij, highlighted that residents in Gurugram will have the option to pay traffic fines through popular digital platforms such as paytm, phonepay and other online modes. This step is a response to the city's digital-savvy population, where a majority of individuals prefer making payments through digital channels.
