UP Tragedy: Two Men Killed As Speeding Car Collides With Motorcycle in Etawah

Two men died after a speeding car collided with a motorcycle in Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah, police said.

Etawah: In a tragic road accident, two men died after a speeding car collided with a motorcycle in Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah, police said on Sunday. 

The two deceased have been identified as Mohan Pal (19) and Bhola Rathore (22). 

“Mohan Pal died on the spot, while Bhola was taken to  Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Saifai where he later succumbed to his injuries,” police said. 

A case has been registered in the incident, they added.

Meanwhile, in a tragic road accident, a woman was killed and several others sustained injuries when a speeding car driven by a 20-year-old law student rammed into their two-wheelers in Gujarat ’s Vadodara city in the early hours of Friday.

The accused driver identified as Rakshit Chaurasiya has been apprehended.

Police said the accused was intoxicated as per the witnesses account. 

However, the driver has refuted the claims, stating that the deployment of the airbags caused him to lose control of the vehicle.

"I was driving my friend's car. My front view got blocked when the airbags were deployed  after the car made slight contact with the scooter. I wasn't intoxicated,” the accused driver said.

According to the CCTV footage accessed, the speeding car can be seen crashing into two scooters, knocking down the riders and dragging them along before coming to a halt.

The accused has been sent to police custody.
