Vadodara: Days after the horrific Vadodara Car Accident that claimed the life of one woman and seriously injured three others, one of the victims of the car crash has made shocking claims against the main accused, Rakshit Ravish Chaurasia. The victim narrated what happened on the fateful night and how the accused was doing it for ‘enjoyment purposes’.

‘The Other Vehicle Flew Through the Air…’

One of the victims of the Vadodara Car Accident, Vikas Kewalani narrated his ordeal and what happened on that fateful night. He said, “Two people from my society and I had gone out for refreshment. One of them was Hemali Patel, her husband is in critical condition...we were on our two-wheeler and suddenly, an over-speeding car rammed into our vehicle... when I fell, I was awake, and I saw that the car had hit the other vehicle as well and it flew through the air, husband and wife had suffered serious injuries… my brother and sister have sustained fractures. I fractured my right-hand elbow..”

Vadodara Car Accident Victim Makes Shocking Claims Against Accused Rakshit Chaurasia

The Vadodara car accident victim, in his statement from the hospital where he is being treated for his injuries, has made shocking claims against the main accused, Rakshit Chaurasia. Seeking strict punishment, the accused has said that imposing a fine is not a solution because this is not something that can be dealt with, with a fine. He said that the solution to such heinous crimes is strict punishment. The victim has also claimed that the accused was intoxicated and that he was over-speeding for ‘enjoyment purposes’.

A 20-year-old law student, who was allegedly driving a luxury car under the influence of alcohol, rammed his vehicle into two two-wheelers, at around 12.30 am near Muktanand Cross Roads in the Karelibaug area. As per the CCTV footage obtained from the scene, a speeding car collided with two scooters, knocking the riders off and dragging them before eventually coming to a stop.

Unaffected by the crash, the suspect exited the vehicle and began shouting, "another round, another round." His friend, Mit Chauhan, who was seated next to him, claimed that he was not at fault and that the driver was solely responsible for the incident. After the accident, bystanders nearby began beating the accused, though some members of the crowd intervened, attempting to protect him so he could be handed over to the authorities.

While the police claimed that he was intoxicated, the accused refuted the same. He said, “I was driving my friend's car. My front view got blocked when the airbags were deployed after the car made slight contact with the scooter. I wasn't intoxicated.” On being asked about what he was screaming after the accident, he said, "I was screaming like that to ensure people stayed away from me."
