The mastermind of this murder had gone to the Nima Hospital in Kalindi Kunj on the night of September 20 after meeting with an accident; post treatment, Dr Javed Akhtar gave him a bill of Rs 1,200 which sparked an argument between the two over overcharging. Following this, the main accused left after paying Rs 400; he revealed during investigation that the hospital staff and doctor humiliated him.

To avenge the insult and the humiliation, the man decided to murder the doctor and he took help of two other boys. He also managed to arrange a pistol.

The main accused, aged around 16 years, after allegedly committing the crime uploaded a post on a social media platform with his photograph and a caption: "Kar diya 2024 mein murder" (Finally committed murder in 2024). Sources said the police have also questioned a female nurse of the nursing home and her husband in connection with the case.

A doctor was shot dead inside a nursing home in southeast Delhi's Kalindi Kunj area early Thursday, with the police apprehending a 16-year-old boy for allegedly committing the crime, officials said.
