Rakshit Ravish Chaurasia, the youth behind the wheels, is a student of Law Faculty at MSU. According to initial reports, he was driving the car in an inebriated state when his vehicle rammed into multiple vehicles. He was accompanied by Meet Pranshu Chauhan who is the student of Parul University.
Rakshit originally hails frỏm Varanasi and was driving his friend Meet's car when it lost control and hit multiple vehicles. The two youths were coming from Sangam and going towards Muktanand circle, according to police.

What Rakshit Chaurasia said in his first statement
Later in a statement, Rakshit Chaurasia spoke about the horrific crash, and said that he was returning home from his friend's place when their car hit the scooty. As soon as it hit the vehicle, the airbags popped out and he couldn't see anything. Since it's a modern car, even a little impact can open the airbags, he added.
