A recent online post highlights a customer's claim that a Flipkart delivery agent spoke rudely to her father during a delivery attempt due to difficulties in locating an OTP sent to his phone.

The complainant expressed her dissatisfaction, quoting the delivery agent's statement, "Kuch aata nahi hai toh order kyun karte ho! (If you don’t know anything, why do you order?).” She further stated, “Never ordering anything from them again. This is not how you talk to customers,” via a post on X, formerly Twitter.

In response to the customer's grievance, Flipkart addressed the issue promptly, expressing regret for the alleged misconduct by the delivery agent. The company urged the customer to share order details via direct message to rectify the situation while ensuring the security of her Flipkart account information.

“We take such incidents very seriously and are deeply sorry to hear about the executive’s misconduct. Give us a chance to fix this by sharing your order details via DM to keep your Flipkart account information safe,” Flipkart stated.

Despite the apology, a user pointed out the challenges of training a large number of delivery personnel to handle diverse situations. The user suggested considering such incidents as isolated cases and encouraged moving forward. Another commenter recommended escalating the matter to Flipkart customer service to ensure that the feedback reaches the concerned delivery agent.

“It is impossible to train 1000s of delivery folks on how to behave in different scenarios. And for all you know the delivery folks may not be from Flipkart but third parties. Consider them as one-off and move on,” one user empathetically remarked. “You should escalate this to Flipkart customer service, the feedback should somehow reach the delivery agent,” yet another netizen posted.
