Kolkata Metro to Provide Extended Services During Durga Puja Festival - More Details Inside

Kolkata: During Durga Puja, the Kolkata Metro will operate 248 services, extending till 4 am, on October 10 and October 11 in the North-South corridor for commuters to avoid festive rush.

To accommodate the increased number of people during Durga Puja, the Kolkata Metro will operate extended services on the North-South corridor.

Kolkata Metro schedule changes:

October 10 and 11 (Saptami and Astami-Navami):

248 services will run on the Dakshineswar-New Garia stretch.
Operating hours: 12:55 PM to 1:02 AM and 3:38 AM to 4 AM.
October 12 (Dashami):

174 services will operate.
Operating hours: 1 PM to midnight.

October 9 (Sasthi):

288 services will run.
Operating hours: 6:50 AM to midnight.

Green Line services:

Green Line - 1 (Sector V to Sealdah):

Saptami-Ashtami/Navami: 64 services.
Dashami: 48 services.
Sasthi: 106 services.
Green Line - 2 (Howrah Maidan to Esplanade):

Saptami-Ashtami/Navami: 118 services.
Dashami: 80 services.
Sasthi: 118 services.

Heralding the start of the festival on ‘Sasthi’ (October 9), the Kolkata Metro will run 288 services from 6:50 am till midnight, the official said.

In the Green Line – 1 (Sector V to Sealdah), the Metro authorities will run 64 services on ‘Saptami-Ashtami/Navami’, 48 services on ‘Dashami’ and 106 services on ‘Sasthi’.

In the Green Line – 2 (Howrah Maidan to Esplanade), 118 services will be operated on ‘Saptami-Ashtami/Navami’ and 80 services on ‘Dashami’, the official said.

These extended services are expected to help daily commuters avoid the usual rush during the festive period.
