The Story of Lord Dattatreya Jayanti:

According to the Hindu scriptures, Lord Jayati was born to Anusuya and Sage Atri. Sati Anusuya was a great lady and possessed great virtue. She wanted a son who would be equal to the trinity of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiv. She performed a lot of tapasya. The wives of the male trinity goddess Saraswati, Lakshmi and Parvati, were envious of Anusuya and asked their husband to test the virtue of Anusuya.

The three agreed to this, transformed themselves into Sadhus, and went to the place of Atri Rishi. They begged for alms. Anusuya welcomed them, washed their feet, and made a request that she feed them in the state of being without clothes. Anusuya got angry, tensed, and sprinkled holy water on three sadhus, which turned them into three infants, and then she breastfed them.

The wives of three lords got anxious as the husband hadn’t returned yet. They went to Maa Anusuya and begged their husbands, then the Trimurti appeared in its original form and blessed Anusuya and Rishi Atri with a son, Lord Dattatreya.
