Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with members of the Indian diaspora in a cultural extravaganza that aims to depict Indian-origin artists performing to classical tunes to and enthralling the dignitaries with folk songs on September 22.

The preparations for this grand event amidst the presence of PM Modi, who is currently serving his third consecutive term, are underway with great enthusiasm at the Nassau Veterans Coliseum, Nassau County, New York.

Ganesh Ramakrishnan, a key organiser mobilising volunteers for the Modi& US event, told ANI that the excitement for the event was palpable. "The excitement is palpable and the sheer volume of people working together to make this event a success in really impressive," he said.

Over 25,000 attendees have registered for the 13,000 available seats, meanwhile 500 community entities from 40 states have joined as Welcome Panters within two-days of the registration opening for this PM Modi event.

PM Narendra Modi departed for a three-day visit to the United States on Saturday morning. During his visit, PM Modi be part of the Quad Leaders' Summit, participate in discussions at the United Nations, and engage in several high-level meetings.

Meet the line-up for 'Modi & US' event

The PM Modi's interaction with the Indian diaspora event is expected to extend over two stages and will present 'Echoes of India: A Journey of Art and Tradition' that will witness the likes of Chandrika Tandon, a Grammy-award nominee, Chandrika Tandon, STAR Voice of India champion, Aishwarya Majumdar enticing the audience with their magical notes. The rest of the line-up includes Instagram' Ricky Pond aka Dancing Dad and singing star Rex DSouza.

In her latest Instagram post, global-artist Tandon said, “Truly honored to be performing with @ypcofnyc at @modiandus, honoring two great democracies — America and India. I feel so proud to be connected to both so deeply.”

On the other hand, the outer stage would witness over 100 artists to present community-enriching performances that entails genres from funky to fusion.

Sai Sagar Patnaik, the Director of the cultural show, said that program is a celebration of India's diversity.

"Just like our Welcome Partners and attendees, the program celebrates India's diversity with dances and music from the four corners of India and everything in between," Patnaik informed ANI.

Harry Singh, Reception Committee co-chair, said, "I am deeply honoured to be part of this inspiring celebration that shines a light on the vibrant tapestry of Indian culture and the invaluable contributions of Indian Americans," citing an ANI report.
