2023 was the year of trends. The makeup industry, especially, witnessed trends and techniques that were never seen before. While the no-makeup makeup look ruled the entire year, some bold looks also surfaced and were talked about. While the new year is all set to witness a resurgence of makeup maximalism, let’s look back at a few trends that ruled 2023. 

Latte makeup

The best part is that this makeup trend works for all skin types. All you need to do is switch up the exact shades and undertones of the products that you are choosing. This look is all about the colours that you use on your cheeks, lips, and eyes. ‘Nude’ colour is the key to get this all glam look and you are good to go. 

Tomato girl 

Tomato girl makeup was imminent during the summer of this year. This makeup look happens to be just another iteration of the very trendy no-makeup makeup look, but with a little twist. This includes a full flush of rosy red blush on your cheeks for an elevated, glowy base. The aim was to make your skin look lively and flushed at all times with a tinge of youthfulness. 

Strawberry makeup

This look was made popular by Hailey Bieber. This involved fresh and sun-kissed skin with bambi-like lashes. This is topped by berry-pink blush. This trend is similar to the tomato girl summer aesthetic but a little sweeter.

Barbiecore

All thanks to the release of Greta Gerwig’s most-awaited Barbie movie, pinks and peaches were everywhere to be seen. To achieve this look, all you need is a generous amount of cream blush applied on your cheeks. Very gently blend them for a seamless youthful look and glow.
