Many authors and writers try their luck and get famous while writing thrilling and gripping stories and characters. Here are some underrated thriller authors.

Suspense thriller and the thriller genre is one of the largest factions of literature. The genre is followed by many authors and writers who show their talent by writing excellent and thrilling stories that keep the readers at the edge of their seats. There are many authors who have written great thriller novels but aren't recognised for their work.

Some of the underrated authors in thriller include:

K.C. Constantine

Carl Constantine Kosak is an American writer, who writes under the name K. C. Constantine. The author served in the Marines in the 1950s then later became a mystery writer. He has written some great works in the thriller genre. Some of his books include Man Who Liked Slow Tomatoes, The Rocksburg Railroad Murders, Always a Body to Trade, and The Man Who Liked To Look At Himself.

Stephen Solomita

Stephen Solomita is one of the most prolific writers of the thriller genre. He first worked as a cab driver before becoming a novelist during the 1980s. Some of the books that he wrote that come under the thriller genre are  A Twist of the Knife, Bad Lawyer: A Novel, Dancer in the Flames, and Force Of Nature.

Christianna Brand

Christianna Brand was a British Malaya crime writer. She spent most of her childhood in England and India. She also wrote under the pseudonyms Mary Ann Ashe, Annabel Jones, Mary Brand, Mary Roland, and China Thompson. Some of the best works in the thriller genre by Christianna are Green for Danger, Heads You Lose, and Death in High Heels. Her best-known Nanny Mcphee: The Collected Tales of Nurse Matilda work was made into a movie in 2005.

Daniel Woodrell

Daniel Woodrell is an American novelist and short-story writer. Most of his works are set in the place that he was born in and still lives, Missouri Ozarks. Some of his works include Winter's Bone, The Maid's Version, Tomato Red, and The Death of Sweet Mister.

Brendan DuBois
