Banana smoothies can make for excellent breakfasts or mid-day snacks, and some even say it can be used as a hangover cure. Bananas can blend well with other flavours, which makes it a good contender to make a smoothie and also satisfies any taste cravings you might have. Banana smoothie is healthy as it is filled with protein and fibre and also has a sugary-sweet, dessert-like taste. Once you know the basics of making a banana smoothie, you can let your imagination run wild and make up your own recipes. But here are some easy-to-make banana smoothies.

How to make a simple banana smoothie?

Use fresh or frozen bananas and cut them into slices. Then, add half an orange to add a pinch of vitamin C to your breakfast. Then add normal or Greek yoghurt to your smoothie to make it creamy (optional). After adding this, add milk or water according to the quantity of the other ingredients you have put and the thickness you want. Blend all this in a mixer and the smoothie is ready.

Additional different flavours to make variations of the smoothies 

There are various flavours you can add to a banana smoothie as it can blend with any flavour. You can add the bellow given flavours to make the drink tastier and healthier. You have to add these blends to the above-shown process to make a different flavoured banana smoothie. Here are some flavours you can try.

  • Fresh or frozen fruits like mango/ pineapple/ berries to give it a better, different taste.
  • Greens like spinach, kale, or mint. Adding one to two cups makes it taste better and improves its nutritional value.
  • A tablespoon of chocolate syrup / cocoa powder or some choco chips. 
  • Fresh ginger or turmeric can also make it an antioxidant- and antibiotic-rich drink.
