Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said that the reasons for the security breach in Parliament on December 13 are unemployment and inflation.

Speaking to reporters on December 16, Rahul said that there is job scarcity in India due to PM Narendra Modi's policies and that the issue is on the boil across the nation.

"The security breach happened, but why did it happen? Due to Modi Ji's policies, the issue of unemployment is boiling across the nation, youngsters are not getting jobs," the Congress MP said. "The reason for the security breach is unemployment and inflation," he added.

Jobs

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge too raised the issue of security lapse in the Parliament saying, "The lapse in security of Parliament is a serious matter. The government should pay attention to this."

"There is a demand being made repeatedly in the Parliament that the Home Minister should come here and explain why and how it happened? But the Home Minister does not want to come to Parliament," he further said.

Reacting to Rahul's statement, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla called his argument “illogical” and accused him of shielding the perpetrators.

"Rahul Gandhi Ji what is wrong with you? You lost three elections and you will use such logic? Congress party is trying to justify what has happened in Parliament on December 13," Poonawalla said.

Earlier on December 15, BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya shared a post linking the perpetrators to the Congress party.

“The link between those who breached Parliament security and the Congress thickens. Advocate Asim Sarode, who has offered to defend those involved in the breach, was an active participant in Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. Congress links with the intruders must be investigated,” he said in a post on X.
