Fabian Allen takes sensational one-handed catch in CPL 2023, reaction goes viral - WATCH

Jamaica Tallawaha faced the Trinbago Knight Riders in the CPL 2023 fixture on Sunday, September 10, 2023. TKR won the match by 7 wickets at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium. TKR  won the toss and decided to bowl, and JT made 154 runs at a loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. TKR had a comfortable chase and finished the match in just 17.2 overs, scoring 155 at a loss of 3 wickets.

CPL 2023:  Fabian Allen made a spectacular catch to dismiss Kieron Pollard

Fabian Allen, a JT all-rounder, made a remarkable one-handed catch to eliminate Trinbago Knight Riders captain Kieron Pollard during a CPL fixture between the Jamaica Tallawahs (JT) and TKR in Trinidad. The catch happened at a difficult stretch for the Tallawahs. As he ran forward and dived to collect the ball just inches above the ground, Allen showed off his athleticism and dexterity. Both Pollard and the on-air analysts initially believed it to be a bump ball and were astounded by the incredible catch.

 Pollard was unable to believe his misfortune and returned to the pavilion while shaking his head when the third umpire confirmed the dismissal. At that point, TKR still required 35 deliveries for 40 runs. The footage of Fabian Allen's outstanding outfield catch is available here:

Fabian Allen's catch was not enough to secure a win for JT 

The Jamaica Tallawahs (JT) had a brilliant moment owing to Fabian Allen's amazing catch, but the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) still won convincingly by seven wickets in 17.2 overs. Unfortunately, this loss sent the Tallawahs to the second-to-last spot on the points chart. 

The Knight Riders, on the other hand, kept up their great run by winning five of their first seven games, which allowed them to retake the top spot. The Knight Riders also won their first game against the Tallawahs by a razor-thin margin of two runs, making their victory over them the second success of the season.
