Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav on Sunday won hearts in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram with his response to a fan's query on native player Sanju Samson. After the third and final ODI between India and Sri Lanka, Suryakumar was seen interacting with a section of spectators in the stands near the boundary line. A fan was heard asking "Humara Sanju kidhar hai (Where is our Sanju)", to which Suryakumar made a heart sign with his hands, suggesting he was in his heart.

A video of the incident was doing rounds on various social media platforms. In the video, Suryakumar can be seen responding to the fan's question about Samson's absence by pointing toward his heart. Meanwhile, this is not the first time Samson's absence from the Indian team has received queries from fans. Last year, when the Indian team visited Kerala to play a T20I match against South Africa, they received a rousing reception on their arrival at the airport with fans shouting Sanju Samson's name as well.

India won the first ODI in Guwahati by 67 runs thanks to a century from Kohli.

India won the second ODI by 4 wickets. Kuldeep Yadav played a crucial role with the ball, while KL Rahul helped India finish the chase with the bat. The Men in Blue then defeated the visitors in the third ODI by a huge margin of 317 runs.
