Hardik Pandya's surgery successful, 'watch devotion' impresses Twitter

Team India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya successfully underwent a surgery for treating his lower-back injury and vowed to make a comeback soon. Pandya took to Instagram and shared a picture of himself post-surgery. Fans and cricket enthusiasts were elated to receive an update on the cricketer's health status. However, another topic of discussion also held sway among the Cricket fans.

Hardik Pandya wears exotic watch to surgery

After the surgery, Pandya took to Twitter and shared a picture straight from his hospital bed in the United Kingdom. He said that the surgery was successful and thanked his followers for their immense support. Pandya also said that he will be back on pitch in no time:

"Will be back in no time! Till then miss me" said Pandya

Netizens on Pandya's luxury watch

However, the eagle-eyed netizens pointed out how Pandya was wearing the watch, and made it out to be that he was setting new standards for swagger. A guessing game also ensued as to what the brand of the watch is.

While others simply prayed for his speedy recovery and hoped that he makes it back to the field soon.

Many wondered the brand of watch that Pandya was wearing. Assumptions rolled out and people started guessing several names of known luxury brands that make watches. However, few right options came up and it was later established that Hardik Pandya was in-fact wearing a Patek Philippe Nautilus. The iconic watch is manufactured by legendary Swiss luxury watchmaker Patek Philippe which is considered as top of the line in the watch industry. 

Hardik Pandya to play key role in World T20

Meanwhile, the outgoing Chairman of selectors MSK Prasad had said that going into the World T20, they are looking to use Hardik more in the white-ball format games. Pandya's Test record includes 532 runs and 17 wickets in 11 Tests. In 54 ODIs, he has scored 937 runs and taken 54 wickets. In 40 T20 matches, he has 310 runs and 38 wickets.
