India announce squad for Australia series, seniors rested, KL Rahul to lead 'Men in Blue'

BCCI has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming two ODI matches against Australia. KL Rahul will lead the side while Ravindra Jadeja will be his deputy.

BCCI has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming two ODI matches against Australia. Following their Asia Cup triumph against Sri Lanka, the Men In Blue will be pumped up ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup next month. The first match is scheduled to be held in Mohali on 22nd September.

India's squad for the 1st two ODIs against Australia

KL Rahul (C & WK), Ravindra Jadeja (Vice-captain), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Shardul Thakur, Washington Sundar, R Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna.

Axar Patel's selection will depend on how his injury fares ahead of the 3rd ODI match in Rajkot.

1st ODI: September 22 at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali (1:30 PM IST)
