India and New Zealand are currently playing the third and final T20I of their three-match series in Ahmedabad. India won the toss and elected to bat first at the Narendra Modi Stadium. When Hardik Pandya announced the playing XI, it became clear that Prithvi Shaw has once again missed out to make room for Ishan Kishan. The decision, however, did not sit well with cricket fans, who took to social media to chastise the Indian team management for leaving the explosive Mumbai batsman out.

Prithvi Shaw is again excluded from IND vs NZ playing XI

Shaw was added to the Indian squad for the three-match T20I series against New Zealand. However, the Indian team management decided to play Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan as openers despite their poor form in the shortest format. When Kishan got out for just 1 run in India's innings, it poured more fuel to the fans' anger as they feel that Shaw should have received an opportunity given that there are no T20I games for India in near future after the ongoing series against the Kiwis. Here's how netizens reacted to Shaw's exclusion from the 3rd T20I.
