Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) had a forgettable outing at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 season despite having star-studded players in the line-up. RCB managed to win only five matches out of the 14 they played. They lost their first six matches in a row. The only highlight of the season for them was winning three consecutive matches. Most of their players did not perform to their potential.

Let us have a look at three Indian players who could be released by RCB:

3. Pawan Negi:

IPL 2019: Matches: 7, Wickets: 3, Runs: 9, Economy: 9.13

Pawan Negi didn’t deliver according to the expectations. The slow-bowler hasn't had a good IPL record. In the 2019 IPL, he featured in seven matches to collect three wickets with his average reading as 34. Overall, while conceding runs at an economy of 9.13, Negi managed to pick two wickets in a single game. RCB might want to reconsider their decision of retaining the prolific all-rounder and release him ahead of the auction this year.

2. Akshdeep Nath:

IPL 2019: M: 8, Runs: 61, Average: 12.20. Strike Rate: 107.01

Akshdeep Nath managed to score just 61 runs at an average of 12.20 in five innings. The right-handed batsman couldn’t make most of his opportunities. The ordinary show has further made things quite tougher for the youngster. Also, his strike-rate of 107.02 was another factor to look at. He also failed to deliver during the key moments of the game. Thus, he could to be released for the 12th edition of the IPL.

1. Shivam Dubey:

IPL 2019: M: 4, Runs: 40, Average: 13.33. Strike Rate: 121.21

The Mumbai all-rounder had a tough time in his maiden IPL edition. He could not leave an impact in the limited chances he got. Famous for his big-hitting, Dubey has proved his ability with the ball too in domestic cricket but in the IPL he did not get much of an opportunity. He looked opposite to it in the 12th edition of the IPL. With his top score being 24, Dubey scored 40 in four matches. However, he failed to deliver overall in the limited opportunities he's had so far.
