KL Rahul has not had a good time with the bat ever since India's World Cup 2019 semi-final match against New Zealand where they had suffered a heartbreaking loss. Rahul could only manage to score one run in that contest, though he'd had a very good World Cup before that. But, it seems that the lady luck has stopped smiling at him thereafter. He had a not-so-impressive Caribbean tour where a string of poor performances meant that he did not get to play the following home series against South Africa. Rahul then got the opportunity to play in Sunday's first T20I against Bangladesh at Delhi but he failed to live up to the expectations.

Rahul's missed opportunity leaves fans annoyed

Rahul, who had come out to bat at number three looked in good touch as he had managed to hit two boundaries. However, a loose shot meant that his stay at the crease came to an abrupt end as he walked back for a 17-ball 15. Meanwhile, the fans were very annoyed after KL Rahul had not only wasted yet another opportunity but also failed to convert his start into a big score. Here are some of the reactions.

Mushfiqur Rahim shines for Bangladesh

Chasing a target of 149, Bangladesh lost opener, Liton Das, early. However, veteran wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim steadied the Bangladesh ship as he stitched an important partnership with Soumya Sarkar.  Rahim was granted a lifeline in 18th over as Krunal Pandya dropped his catch off Chahal's delivery. It indeed proved to be very costly for India as Rahim clobbered young left-arm pacer, Khaleel Ahmed for 18 runs in very the next over in which Bangladesh needed 22 runs as it ended up shifting the momentum completely in the visitors' favor heading into the final over. Mushfiqur Rahim hit Khaleel for 4 consecutive boundaries in that over and skipper Mahmudullah Riyad took Bangladesh home on the fourth delivery with a six as they registered their first-ever T20I win against India.
