R Ashwin playfully emulates Sanath Jayasuriya’s bowling action ahead on Ind vs Ban Test

India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was spotted bowling with his left hand during the team’s practice session in Indore ahead of the historic Day-Night Test against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The Indian team decided to stay back in Indore in order to train under lights after winning the first Test convincingly by an innings and 130 runs. R Ashwin was seen bowling with his left hand during the team’s practice session.

In the video that is doing the rounds on social media, R Ashwin could be seen trying to emulate former Sri Lankan all-rounder Sanath Jayasuriya in a playful manner.

Ashwin picked up five wickets in the first Test, while the Indian pacers Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma shared 14 scalps between them.

After the end of the first day's play in the first Test against Bangladesh, R Ashwin had said that it was obviously a challenge to play with the pink ball. The ball had a lot more lacquer. He added that he had not even bowled a single ball with the pink ball and had just seen it. He also went on to say that sometimes he didn’t understand if it was orange or pink and was still coming to terms with it.

Rahane had also said that with pink SG expected to swing more than the traditional ‘SG Test’, the batsmen needed to play late and close to their body.

Meanwhile, Sourav Ganguly on Sunday said that five-day cricket needed rejuvenation to revive interest in the game’s traditional format. He is the chief architect in making this historic event see the light of the day.

The second Test begins on November 22. The day’s play would start at 1 pm and stretch till 8 pm in the evening. It will be India’s first day/night and pink-ball Test.
