Ravi Shastri and MS Dhoni come together, fans become nostalgic

Ravi Shastri and MS Dhoni were clicked in a single frame after India's mammoth win over South Africa at Ranchi. Their interaction took the fans back in time.

Ravi Shastri has got all the reasons to be happy ever since he has been reappointed as the head coach of Team India for the next two years i.e. till the end of ICC World T20 2021. He was seen having a gala time in the Caribbean where he had posed with the great Sir Vivian Richards at his hometown in Antigua and had also turned host at the Bob Marley museum. India went on to whitewash West Indies across all formats. After India's comprehensive win over the Proteas at Ranchi, Shastri was seen posing alongside the hometown hero himself.

Shastri and MS Dhoni in one frame

MS Dhoni had made his presence felt in the Indian dressing room after the hosts had outplayed South Africa by an innings and 202 runs on Tuesday morning to register a clean sweep. Dhoni was seen having a chat with Shahbaz Nadeem who had made his Test debut in this match. Meanwhile, the 2011 World Cup-winning skipper had also posed with the Indian team's head coach Ravi Shastri. Taking to the micro-blogging site, Shastri wrote that it was great to see a true Indian legend in his den after a fantastic series win.

After seeing both Dhoni and Shastri together, the fans became nostalgic about MS Dhoni's winning six in the 2011 World Cup final which was commented by Ravi Shastri in a unique manner. Here are some of the reactions.

Virat Kohli speaks about MS Dhoni

During the post-match press conference, a reporter had asked Virat about the hometown hero MS Dhoni's presence to which the skipper asked whether he would like to come and greet the 2011 World Cup-winning captain as everyone at the press box erupted in laughter.

"No, he is here. He is in the changing room. Come and say hello to him", said Kohli.
