A need to stay close to his team

Shoaib Ali Bukhari, also known as 'Tiger Shoaib', is a super-fan of the Bangladesh cricket team much like India's Sachin Tendulkar super-fan, Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary. Shoaib often paints himself as a tiger and has passionately been present at most of Bangladesh's games since 2012. He even travels to the countries the team is touring and stays with them, supporting them from the sidelines.

During the recently-concluded three-match T20I series between India and Bangladesh, it was reported that Shoaib could not be close to the Bangladesh team because of heavy security restrictions. During the Test series practice, Shoaib was present at the stadium when through Rohit Sharma's help, he was allowed to enter the field. Rohit interrogated the super-fan about his living arrangements and access allowances.

When Shoaib informed Rohit about the problems he had to face, Rohit helped the Bangladeshi fan get an all-access card through which he could access any part of the stadium at any time. Sachin Tendulkar super-fan, Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary, helped Shoaib through the process. Shoaib was in great spirits as he talked about this incident, lauding Rohit for his down-to-earth nature despite his fame.
