India will be up against the reigning World Champions Australia at the Oval on Sunday. The 'Men In Blue' will be charged up after their six-wicket win over South Africa in the opening encounter while the Kangaroos will be aiming for a hat-trick of wins. Aussies head into this contest after impressive wins over Afghanistan and West Indies. At the same time, India will be eager to avenge their loss in the 1999 World Cup against the Aussies at the same venue.

When it comes to head-to-head World Cup encounters, Australia are way ahead of India with an 8-3 victory margin in 11 games. Australia had beaten India in the finals of the 2003 edition comprehensively. Meanwhile, India had ended Australia's 12-year long World Cup reign in 2011 to become the eventual champions. Four years later, the Aussies would turn the tables on the 'Men In Blue' before going on to re-establish their supremacy in World Cricket once again. 

Indian skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first.

Both are teams are unchanged from their previous encounters.
