India are looking to continue their unbeaten run in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 against Afghanistan at Southampton on Saturday. India have started their World Cup campaign on a high, winning three out of their opening four games. They are yet to lose a match but were forced to share a point with New Zealand as the match was abandoned due to rain. Afghanistan, playing their second World Cup, have not managed a single win yet and are presently sitting at the rock-bottom of the points table. There is no doubt that India are the obvious favorites.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first. However, unlike their previous couple of games, they did not get off to an ideal start as they lost the stylish opening batsman Rohit Sharma early. Skipper Virat Kohli then added 57 runs with KL Rahul for the second wicket. After Rahul's dismissal, Kohli then stitched in a 58-run stand with Vijay Shankar. The Indian skipper registered his 52nd half-century. He scored a 63-ball 67 which included five boundaries at a strike rate of 106.35.

MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav were then involved in a small partnership. In the end, riding on Jadhav's patient half-century, India got to a respectable total of 224/8 in their 50 overs.

The netizens seemed disappointed after the Men In Blue had an off day with the bat.
