Rohit Sharma registered his 24th ODI century and his second one of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Old Trafford in Manchester on Sunday.

After being put into bat by Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed, Rohit and KL Rahul laid a solid platform for India with a 136-run opening stand. After Rahul was dismissed for a well-made 57, the Indian vice-captain then added 98 runs for the second-wicket stand with Virat Kohli. Both Sharma and Rahul started on a cautious note as they saw off the new ball well before Rohit unleashed his explosive shots and accelerated the Indian innings.

The Hitman scored a splendid 113-ball 140 at a strike rate of 123.89 which included 14 boundaries and three maximums.

Here's how the Manchester crowd reacted after Rohit got to his century.

Even the netizens came forward to congratulate the stylish opening batsman after his incredible innings against the arch-rivals.
