Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal wished all-rounder and teammate Hardik Pandya on his birthday and wished him a speedy recovery from his injury. Hardik Pandya had recently undergone surgery for resolving a lower back injury due to which he was ruled out of South Africa's tour. The explosive right-handed all-rounder had flown to United Kingdom (UK) for consulting with doctors about his injury and is set to be out of action for more than a couple of months. Friends and fellow cricketers of Hardik Pandya have flocked to wish him a speedy recovery including Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani flying down to the UK to meet the cricketer in person. Yuzvendra Chahal took to Twitter to convey his wishes for Hardik Pandya.

Hardik Pandya successfully underwent surgery for his lower-back injury last week. The Indian all-rounder was injured during during the Asia Cup in UAE last year. However, Hardik Pandya recovered in time to play the 12th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) and the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England. The injury once again resurfaced after India’s home T20I series against South Africa last month. Pandya traveled to London earlier this month with Team India physiotherapist Yogesh Parmar. The Baroda all-rounder is expected to stay out of cricketing action for a minimum of 12-16 weeks. He is likely to be declared match-fit before the thirteenth edition of IPL next year.
Hardik Pandya got a much-deserved break after ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 where India had finished as the semi-finalists. He did not take part in India's successful Caribbean tour that had succeeded in the quadrennial event. Pandya made his comeback in the three-match T20I series against South Africa last month. Nonetheless, he could not make much of an impact as he could only manage two wickets and 14 runs in the two matches that he had played as the series was tied at 1-1 with one match being washed out. As per reports, the all-rounder will not be playing the away series against Bangladesh and it is still unknown about when he will make his comeback.
