The Bundesliga is back this weekend with some crunch fixtures. With just three points separating fifth place from the top of the table, the results of Matchday 10 could prove to be pivotal as we're just over a week away from the next international break. Here's a look at the top fixtures from Bundesliga Matchday 10.

Bundesliga: Dortmund vs Wolfsburg - the pick of the fixtures

Fifth-placed Borussia Dortmund play hosts to fourth-placed VFL Wolfsburg. The German duo of Marco Reus and Mats Hummels are yet to return to training for Borussia Dortmund, which could prove to be a worry for coach Lucien Favre. Reus' absence could see Julian Brandt fill in for the hosts. Brandt scored twice in Borussia Dortmund's 2-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach, ending a scoring drought that has lasted since the start of the season. A win over Wolfsburg is most likely to propel Lucien Favre's side into the top four of the Bundesliga.

League leaders Borussia Monchengladbach travel to eighth-placed Bayer Leverkusen as they look to cement their spot at the top of the table. A 4-2 win in their last outing in the Bundesliga meant that Borussia Monchengladbach returned to the top of the table. Bayer Leverkusen, however, gave a tough fight to Werder Bremen in their last game, so the league leaders will have their work cut out for them as the likes of Bayern Munich, Freiburg, Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund breathe down their neck.

Second-placed Bayern Munich face Eintracht Frankfurt over the weekend. Niko Kovac will face his former side and will be looking to Serge Gnabry and Robert Lewandowski to deliver once again. Under Niko Kovac, Bayern Munich have blown hot and cold this season, despite signing the likes of Benjamin Pavard, Lucas Hernandez, Ivan Perisic and Phillipe Coutinho to bolster their squad this summer. A win against Niko Kovac's former side will leave Bayern in a comfortable position as they look to gather some momentum in the Bundesliga this season.

Third-placed Freiburg head to 12th-placed Werder Bremen this weekend. Freiburg registered a 2-1 win over RB Leipzig in their last Bundesliga encounter. Christian Streich's side will look to take that momentum with them as they eye the top spot in the Bundesliga table on Matchday 10.

Sixth-placed RB Leipzig get ready to take on FSV Mainz. Julian Nagelsmann's side registered a convincing 6-1 victory in their DFB Pokal victory over Bundesliga rivals VFL Wolfsburg. In the Bundesliga, however, Leipzig have had some disappointing results, with Julian Nagelsmann's side failing to register a victory in their last three outings in the league.
