Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund and England star Jadon Sancho next summer. A lot of clubs have been watching Sancho after he's been impressing with club and country and Liverpool monitoring a player of Sancho's calibre shouldn't come as a surprise.

Sancho is currently one of the most valuable prospects in the world, with currently being valued at a reported £90million. He was previously contracted by Watford and Manchester City as a youth player. The German side paid just £7m for the Englishman back in 2017 when he left Manchester City without making a senior appearance. The 19-year-old has now developed into a crucial player for the German side. It had been reported that Manchester United were apparently keen to sign the star in the summer, but that he would cost upwards of £100m for anyone to claw him away from Dortmund.

Sancho's rise to stardom
Following an impressive start to the 2018–19 season, Sancho was called up to the England senior squad for the first time on 4 October 2018 in preparation for their UEFA Nations League fixtures against Croatia and Spain. He made his debut as a substitute, coming on in the 78th-minute against Croatia on 12 October in a 0–0 away draw. On 22 March 2019, Sancho started his first competitive match for England in their 5–0 win over the Czech Republic at Wembley Stadium for a UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying match. During the September internationals, Sancho scored his debut goals for the senior team, a brace, in a 5–3 home victory over Kosovo in a Euro 2020 qualifier on September 10. He has scored 18 times and provided 30 assists in 69 appearances for the German side. Now, after breaking into the first team and becoming a key figure in Gareth Southgate’s most recent England squads, it has been heavily rumoured that Sancho will leave. Sancho is under contract at Dortmund until 2022 and does not have a release clause. Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc also revealed that Sancho is bound to leave the club at one point or another.

Reports say
Despite the heavy interest from both the Manchester sides, it is reported by the British media that Liverpool will be keen to have him on their side and would be willing to challenge for his signature this summer. If signed, Sancho would be an ideal signing for the club to reduce the burden on their front three as he's a player who can potentially play anywhere in the Liverpool attack. It could open new financial avenues for the club, who are rumoured to be closed to agreeing on a kit deal with Nike, who by the way have a deal in place with Sancho too.
