Paul Pogba has been continuously linked with a move away from Old Trafford this season. After falling out of favour with former manager Jose Mourinho and then publicly admitting that he might leave Manchester United in the future, his future has been in doubt. The latest buzz is that Paul Pogba is “desperate” to leave United amidst interest from both Real Madrid and Juventus.
Paul Pogba’s return to Manchester United for a then world-record fee of £89 million hasn't gone according to plan with the Frenchman struggling to impress consistently. The quality he possesses is no doubt world-class but his inability to replicate them on a constant basis has been widely criticised.
Real Madrid had tried to sign Paul Pogba this summer as manager Zinedine Zidane was interested in him. However, the move failed to materialize due to two reasons – United’s high asking price of €180million and the lack of interest from Madrid President Florentino Perez.
But according to reports in Italy, Manchester United have 'begun to realize' that Pogba wants to leave during the January transfer window. The Red Devils are aware his price will drop the longer his contract runs - and they could be forced to sell with Real Madrid and Juventus waiting in the wings. Los Blancos are all set to return to the market for Pogba as Zidane is yet to give up on his interest. While Juventus – Pogba’s former club – could also table a “lucrative” offer for him.
If Cuadrado is the one that gets Pogba to return to Juventus, I think he should become an honorary captain. https://t.co/sfmiV2yHS2— Piemonte Calcio Fan (@Brut23) November 19, 2019
Paul Pogba sparked talk of a return to Juventus after posing for a photo with former team-mate Juan Cuadrado. The duo spent two years together in Turin from 2015. They have remained good friends since Pogba's move to Manchester United in 2016.
The 26-year-old has been out since late-September after aggravating his ankle injury. He has stepped up his recovery and is expected to be back for Manchester United in December.
