WWE SmackDown: Host broadcaster to air a special episode this weekend

WWE SmackDown: According to a leading wrestling website, FOX will be airing a one-hour WWE Special episode this Sunday, whose title is yet to be announced.

FOX’s new deal with WWE is getting the company a lot of attention and they are benefitting with it in a big way. After the low ratings of last week’s WWE SmackDown, FOX lost almost half a million viewers. And now, FOX is going an extra mile to keep their million new viewers and provide the show with the exposure it needs. According to a leading wrestling website, FOX will be airing a one-hour WWE Special this Sunday, whose title is yet to be announced.

The official website of FOX revealed the description of the show to be, 'A profile of some of the greatest stars in wrestling and sports itself'. After hearing this news, fans are really hyped and are waiting to see an episode about WWE legends. Many think that this week’s WWE SmackDown will bring back many of the viewers FOX has lost last week. The upcoming episode of SmackDown is set to feature Brock Lesnar, Cain Velasquez, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan and many more.

WWE: Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez on SmackDown

Brock Lesnar is set to defend his newly won WWE Championship title against Cain Velasquez at the upcoming Crown Jewel PPV. But before that, both the wrestles are set to make an appearance in the upcoming episode of SmackDown. The last time when these two met each other, Velasquez promised Brock Lesnar that he will defeat him and give him another scar on his face. During their time in UFC, Cain had knocked out Lesnar to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship from him. After his defeat, Brock Lesnar was unable to fight for months. The two are scheduled to face each other for the WWE Championship in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on October 31, 2019.

WWE: Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan on SmackDown

After searching wrestlers for weeks, Team Ric Flair and Team Hulk Hogan are finally complete as both the teams consist of some heavy-hitting superstars. Last week on SmackDown, Hogan chose Roman Reigns as his new captain and now his team also consists of Rusev, Ricochet, Shorty G and Ali. Meanwhile, Flair has chosen his former Evolution teammate Randy Orton as his captain and added Bobby Lashley, King Corbin and Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura. His last player was hard to found, but Flair earlier on RAW announced Drew McIntyre as his last team member. Now that both the teams are filled with wrestlers, Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair are set to make an appearance on SmackDown.
