Adrian Newey To Join Aston Martin On March 1 As Silverstone Squad Win Race To Sign F1 Design Guru

Aston Martin has confirmed a major coup in Formula One, announcing that renowned design guru Adrian Newey will be joining their team from Red Bull. The British-based team made the announcement on Tuesday at their Silverstone base, with Newey set to start his new role in March 2025.

At 65 years old, Newey is celebrated as one of the foremost talents in motorsport engineering. 

Aston Martin owner Lawrence Stroll expressed his excitement about the appointment, highlighting Newey's unparalleled expertise in F1 design and his impact on the sport.

The new AMR Technology Campus, which features a state-of-the-art wind tunnel, was a significant factor in Newey’s decision to join Aston Martin. Stroll emphasized that the facilities and resources at Silverstone are crucial components in the team’s quest for championship success.
