'Bring Pride Back': Gary Kirsten Urges Game-Changing Revamp for Pakistan Cricket Amid Horror Run

The Pakistan Cricket Team has been in shambles since their streak of horrific performances, be it the ODI World Cup , T20 World Cup or any bilaterals. Bangladesh recently thrashed the Men in Green after defeating them and picked up a whitewash in Rawalpindi. It was utterly embarrassing for the hosts as they lost on their home ground while putting up an unconvincing display. Amid the turmoil, the PCB is aiming for a revamp, and coach Gary Kirsten has placed his demands on the team.

Gary Kirsten Put Forth His Key Demands to the Pakistan Cricket Team Amid Revamp Calls

The PCB organized a 'Connection Camp' in which management and selected players came together to devise a strategy for Pakistan Cricket to regain glory. Head Coach Gary Kirsten spoke to the media, maintaining his demands for the players. He stated that players must have professional character and remain united, as well as a desire to restore pride in Pakistan cricket.

"It was a fantastic time today to be part of this connection camp. I think the intention around it was to align our purposes for the team. I think we all agree we want the Pakistan team to be as successful as it possibly can be across all the formats. And we spend today just going through the various things that can help us and help the team be the best version of itself.

"So I think, from the team and the players in terms of their levels of professionalism, was one thing that we spoke about that was really important. And I think the commitments around making sure that they are. And present themselves as best they can for the for the nation, and to bring pride back into Pakistan cricket," Gary Kirsten said at a press conference.

One of Pakistan 's biggest aims will be the 2025 Champions Trophy , which will take place at their home turf. The Men in Green have a solid home advantage, but a certain turmoil exists over Team India's participation in the tournament. It is yet to be seen whether India travels to the region, given that tensions are still at large on both sides.
