The 2025 edition of the Champions Trophy has gone from bad to worse for Pakistan. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) who have miserably failed in fixing their cricketing culture has now lost the chance to host the ICC Champions Trophy Finals. The PCB endorsed the entire Champions Trophy around the prospect of the 'Men in Green' defending their Champions Trophy crown in front of their home crowd, but Mohammad Rizwan and his team got knocked out of the tournament in the group stage itself.

The ongoing Champions Trophy is being played in the 'Hybrid Model' and India were always scheduled to play all their Champions Trophy matches in Dubai. The first semi-final between India and Australia was also played in Dubai. According to the International Cricket Council's mandate, the summit clash will now move out of Pakistan and will be played in Dubai since India have become the first team to qualify for the summit clash. The PCB made huge claims about providing top quality infrastructure for the Champions Trophy, but few rain-hit games in the Pakistan leg exposed the PCB's lies in broad daylight.
