IPL 2025, CSK vs RCB, Kohli vs MSD: The Bengaluru side travel to Chennai for a mouthwatering IPL game. The buzz is palpable as fans are making wild predictions. But amid all the predictions that are being made, former IPL star Shane Watson, who has featured for both CSK and RCB, weighed in.

As per Watson, CSK are very strong at home as that is their fortress and beating them there would be no mean task for RCB. 

‘Chepauk is a fortress’ - Watson

“It’s going to be a huge challenge for RCB to go to Chepauk, especially given the quality of bowlers CSK have at their disposal. But make no mistake — Chepauk is a fortress,” Watson commented on JioHotstar. 

Watson also reckoned that CSK have the spinners to trouble RCB. 

“Just look at the three spinners who bowled brilliantly in their opening game… They are going to be a real handful on that surface,” he added.

Winning merely five out of 14 matches, RCB have always struggled at the Chepauk an it will not change as per Watson.

CSK vs RCB Showdown

Both Chennai and Bengaluru have won their opening games in the ongoing season of the IPL and would like to keep it that way. Also what will make it an interesting contest is the fact that both sides are loaded with stars. It surely promises to be a full house at the iconic Chepauk. 

Without a doubt, given the conditions and the CSK squad - they would be starting favourites. But again, RCB have players in the ranks who can hurt CSK. For RCB, they need to prepare a solid blueprint to counter the spin from CSK as that could decide the fate of the game.
