Now, Kishan has also hit a breathtaking run-a-ball fifty to help his side in the ongoing Duleep Trophy game on Thursday. Kishan's knock has now got India C on track after they lost Ruturaj Gaikwad due to an injury early in the piece. At the time of filing the story, Kishan was on 65* off 64 balls. His innings thus far was laced with 10 fours and a six. Fans would be hoping Kishan gets a big score and makes a good case for himself in front of the selectors as there is a big season of red-ball cricket coming up.

Ishan Kishan Makes an Unexpected Return to the Duleep Trophy

Ishan Kishan sustained the injury following an appearance in the Buchi Babu Invitational tournament, BCCI announced Sanju Samson as his replacement in the India D squad. Thereafter, no update on his injury was reported, moreover, his name was not in the released list of squads for the second round of the Duleep Trophy. Yet, surprise-surprise on September 12, he was directly named in the playing XI of the India C.

The transpiration left fans befuddled as ahead of the start of the match there was no mention of Ishan Kishan anywhere. The matter picked up fire as no notification came from BCCI's side about Ishan Kishan.
