Duleep Trophy 2024: Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj To Miss Key Matches in Duleep Trophy

The BCCI announced some revisions in the teams participating in the 2024 Duleep Trophy as key players will be absent from domestic red-ball action.

The Duleep Trophy, one of India's top domestic tournaments, will feature talent from all over the country divided into four sides. This year, members of the Indian Cricket Team will be featured in the domestic tournament. Top stars like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have been offered exemptions. The BCCI has shared a new development that a few more players will be missing from action.

Ravindra Jadeja Released, More India Players Set to Miss Out Duleep Trophy First Round

Ahead of the first round of the Duleep Trophy, the Board of Control for Cricket In India has announced that Ravindra Jadeja will be missing out from the first round of the tournament. Alongside Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj and Umran Malik are also out of the teams. Siraj and Umran are down with illness, but there have been no details on Jadeja's release from the Team.

Team India Bowler Mohammed Siraj has been replaced by Delhi bowler Navdeep Saini. Madhya Pradesh bowler Gaurav Yadav will replace Umran Malik in Team C.

The Duleep Trophy will feature some of India's premier red-ball talent, and the players' performance will help the team decide the squad for the Bangladesh Test series. The tournament will commence from September 5, 2024, in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh and the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

India A: Shubman Gill (c), Mayank Agarwal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel (wk), KL Rahul, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Tanush Kotian, Kuldeep Yadav, Akash Deep, Prasidh Krishna, Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan, Vidwath Kaverappa, Kumar Kushagra, Shaswat Rawat.

India B: Abhimanyu Easwaran (c), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant (wk), Musheer Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy*, Washington Sundar, Navdeep Saini, Yash Dayal, Mukesh Kumar, Rahul Chahar, R Sai Kishore, Mohit Awasthi, N Jagadeesan (wk).
