Hardik Pandya Congratulates Jay Shah On Becoming The Youngest ICC Chairman

Jay Shah was elected unopposed as the new chairman of ICC. Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya took to X to congratulate the former BCCI secretary.

Jay Shah has been officially announced as the new chairman of the ICC and will take over his new role from December 1st, 2024. Jay Shah will succeed New Zealand's Greg Barclay as the next Independent Chair of ICC and in doing so he will become the youngest ever to take over the position. 

As Jay Shah transitions from being the BCCI secretary towards his new role, Indian Cricket team's star allrounder and Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya congratulated Shah on his achievement.

Hardik Pandya took to his X account to congratulate the now former BCCI secretary Jay Shah for his new role. In his message to Jay Shah, Hardik Pandya remained confident that the new Chair would help take cricket to even greater heights in world. 

“Congratulations Jay Shah bhai on being elected as the youngest chairman of ICC. Look forward to seeing you take cricket to even greater heights. Your vision and drive will help ICC, just like it did with BCCI,” congratulated Hardik Pandya on X.

Hardik Pandya and Jay Shah has shared a close bond ever since he took over as the BCCI secretary. 

Cricket world congratulates Jay Shah

Hardik Pandya wasn't the only one to send wishes to Jay Shah upon becoming the new chairman. IPL teams like Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Mumbai Indians among other teams also congratulated Jay Shah.

Jay Shah will now ensure his transition from being BCCI secretary and will take over as the new ICC Chairman from December 1st, 2024.
