After helping Team India win the ICC Champions Trophy this year, Hardik Pandya is already looking into the future and aiming for the big tournaments as he intends to help win more ICC titles for the Men in Blue. The star-all-rounder has already set his eyes on the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 in India and aims to help Team India to successfully defend the title while at home.
The Rohit Sharma-led Team India have emerged successful in their quest for another ICC title. The Men in Blue defeated the Mitchell Santner-led Blackcaps to win the coveted ICC Champions Trophy title at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Team India established their dominance in white-ball cricket with the T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy wins. But star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is already looking towards his future ambitions as he revealed his next big goal — Winning the T20 World Cup title in 2026 at India — and he wants to achieve it.
"I love wins like this where everyone comes there, puts their heart out and you know I think this was for India, this was for Bharat. The champions trophy is done, next goal ICC T20 World Cup in India, lifting the cup," Hardik Pandya said, as quoted by ICC.
Hardik Pandya has been a part of two huge campaigns for Team India, and he has won titles on both occasions. While they missed out on the ODI World Cup in 2023, Pandya remains determined to win more, as his hunger to clinch more titles has intensified.
"For me, it has always been about winning as many championships as I can. I did say when we won in 2024 that this is not done, I still need 5-6 more trophies there. I am very happy that one more is added.
"The most important thing in my life and my cricketing journey has always been about how I can make sure that my team can win. And it's very very satisfying, very very calming, very very happy moment for me that every time I step on the field," Pandya expressed.
After winning the Champions Trophy, Team India's players will compete in the IPL 2025 season, with Hardik Pandya leading the Mumbai Indians. The star all-rounder would like to improve their performance as they finished last at the table.
