'He is also human': Jadeja Baffled By The Odd Dismissal Of Virat Kohli On Day 2 of IND vs BAN Test
According to Jadeja, Kohli seldom gets out after spending that much time at the crease. Kohli's batting stint in the second innings lasted for 37 balls.
Duty called Virat Kohli following the early departure of the openers- Rohit Sharma (5) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (10)- on Day 2 of the India vs Bangladesh 1st Test in Chennai on Friday. Contrary to the first innings, Kohli looked in solid touch and also struck two authoritative boundaries. However, spin, which has lately troubled the Indian batter, once again left him in dire straits. Kohli failed to pick a flighted full-delivery of Mehidy Hasan Miraz and was trapped in front for an LBW. Replays showcased a spike from Kohli's but the right-hander did not opt to take the referral following a brief chat with Shubman Gill. The dismissal called it a wrap from Virat Kohli from 1st Test. He made 6 runs in the first innings and contributed 17 in the second.
Ajay Jadeja Surprised By Virat Kohli 's Dismissal
Virat Kohli getting out just before the close of Day 2 seemed odd to former India cricketer and one of the keen observers of the game Ajay Jadeja. According to Jadeja, Kohli seldom gets out after spending that much time at the crease. Kohli's batting stint in the second innings lasted for 37 balls, where he looked determined to see through the day and continue to chip in on Day 3. However, it wasn't meant to and the only aspect that is left is hindsight, which Jadeja underwent in the post-proceedings show on Colors Cineplex.
" Virat Kohli getting out was probably the biggest surprise because you rarely see him making a mistake after playing 20-25 balls in such conditions. He made a mistake there, played slightly across. He is also human. Everyone makes mistakes. This is the start of the season maybe," he responded.

On Not Taking the Review
Jadeja also paid heed to Kohli not going for the review and asserted while exploring that maybe his mind had wavered somewhere.
"Forget everything else, when he himself didn't come to know that the ball had hit his bat, where the ball is going, is a far-away thought. Maybe the mind was somewhere else. If you see the ball, it neither spun nor kept low, but at times, you make a mistake even against straight balls, which is rare," Jadeja observed.
