Huge Boost For Lucknow Super Giants As Star Australian Gets Conditional Fitness Clearance For IPL 2025

In a major boost, Lucknow Super Giants will get to avail of Mitchell Marsh's service in IPL 2025. Marsh, who was ruled out of the Champions Trophy 2025, is set to be available as a batter only as per an ESPN Cricinfo report.

Mitchell Marsh Set To Return To IPL 2025

An official statement from Cricket Australia described Marsh's injury as a "lower back pain and dysfunction" and he only played a single Big Bash League game after the India vs Australia Test series. But his back problem proved to be a major hindrance and he wasn't a part of Australia's Champions Trophy squad.

Marsh consulted a back specialist in February and he subsequently returned to batting recently. He has been cleared for IPL 2025 but LSG cannot use him as a bowler, which might force the thinktank to alternate their plans. Lucknow are poised to open their IPL 2025 campaign against Delhi Capitals on March 24. Rishabh Pant has been declared as the captain this season and the former DC skipper will have the onus to lead his team towards glory this time around.

Marsh was bought for a whopping INR 3.4 crore and is expected to play a pivotal part in the upcoming season. Marsh has had his persistent injury issues during his three-year stint with Delhi Capitals and he was not retained by them.
