ICC Champions Trophy 2025: It would be a much-anticipated clash when India lock horns with New Zealand in Dubai in the final of CT 2025. Without a doubt, the spotlight would be on India's premier batter Virat Kohli when the big-ticket clash takes place. But, ahead of the clash, there is a piece of heartbreaking news.
As per Pakistan 's Geo News, Kohli suffered an ankle injury during India's training session on Friday. Kohli was struck by a ball near his knee after prompted him to pause his practice. Indian physio staff quickly attended to him, applying a spray and wrapping the area with a bandage.
Will Kohli Play CT 2025 Final?
The report claims that the management has confirmed that there is not much to be worried about and that Kohli would be fit to feature in the summit clash. Despite getting hit, Kohli did not leave the field, he was there watching others train. Kohli will be an integral factor in the final that would be played in Dubai on Sunday (March 9).

The former India captain has been in ominous form in the tournament, he is also among the leading run-getters. When Kohli plays the final, he would need 45 runs to get to a massive milestone. If Kohli scores 45 or more, he would amass the most runs in Champions Trophy history.

What Else Happened During Team India Training?
Not just that, India head coach Gautam Gambhir was also spotted having a chat with chief selector Ajit Agarkar. Also during the session, the top and middle-order batters faced the in-house spin quartet of Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja, before taking on an ensemble of local spinners.
