ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Rohit Sharma would get ready to lead India in another ICC final in a little over 24 hours from now. The opposition would be New Zealand and India would have a golden opportunity to clinch another ICC title. The match would take place in Dubai and the levels of excitement is high.
The Indian team is riding high after remaining unbeaten till the summit clash. Their opposition, NZ, have lost a match and that too against the Men in Blue. That would mean India may have a slight advantage. On Friday, Team India had their final practice session in Dubai ahead of the big-ticket finale. During India's training session, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were reportedly engaged in an intense chat that took place for roughly 15 minutes. The chat took place while the others were training.

Not just that, India head coach Gautam Gambhir was also spotted having a chat with chief selector Ajit Agarkar. Also during the session, the top and middle-order batters faced the in-house spin quartet of Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja, before taking on an ensemble of local spinners.

In the previous match, New Zealand skipper Santner had bowled a tight spell (10-1-41-1) but Bracewell was a bit expensive at 9-0-56-0.

India would be confident about the match as they have got the better of the Blackcaps earlier in the tournament. Yet, India would be aware that NZ have quality players and they could push the Men in Blue.
It would be interesting to see the XI India opt for, in all probability, it would be the same XI that beat Australia in the semi-final.
